Water Margin

Water Margin (Hardcover) is a long historical novel written by Shi Nanan and Luo Guanzhong. It went through hundreds of years from Song dynasty to Yuan dynasty to be finally completed. It collects their heroic deeds of heroes who finally come to water margin Mount Liang, which reflects most Chinese ideals, emotions and brilliant thoughts. The novel reflects the patriotic ideology of only fighting against corrupt officials except the emperor in a special historical situation and spirit of heroism of the civilians. The novel mainly describes present wars, and shapes images of heroes of Mount Liang, such as Li Kui, Wu Song, Lin Chong, Lu Zhishen, revealing social contradictions of that time. Water Margin is of high artistic achievement, because of its tortuous plot, vivid language and distinctive personalities.
