“A Series of Books by Scholars at BLCU” collects the research findings of professors of Beijing Language and Culture University (BLCU). Volume 1 of this series includes the academic papers of 15 professors, such as Cui Xiliang, Zhao Jinming and Cao Zhiyun and was published to commemorate the 50thAnniversary of BLCU. It was well-received after its publication.
This is a book of the second volume in this series which explores the phonetic evolution rules in Chinese dialects from three perspectives, i.e., Chinese phonetics, Anhui dialects, and the Chinese history and grammar. It introduces the characteristics and distribution of the dialects in Anhui Province and makes further explorations of the commonly-seen grammatical phenomena in Chinese dialects, such as “~看”、“个”、“做” and Adj. + Complement of Degree with Prof. Zhao Rixin’s 19 articles included.
Zhao Rixin, born in Jixi of Huizhou in February 1964, is a PhD in Literature. He now works as a Professor and PhD Supervisor at Faculty of Linguistic Science, Beijing Language and Culture University and School of Humanities, Tsinghua University.
