Erya Chinese: Contemporary Chinese Literature

Contemporary Chinese Literature is an elective course book in the Erya Chinese series. This book combines teaching of literary history with appreciation of literary writers and works, containing an overview of contemporary Chinese literature and covering various literary forms such as fiction, prose, poetry and drama. Classical writers and works are included for introduction and appreciation. Apart from the text, there are other sections in each lesson, i.e. vocabulary notes, reading tips, cultural notes, classroom discussion, after-class exercises, brief summary and extracurricular reading tips, aiming to assist readers in better learning and using the book.+
